Vintage Deep Pink Crocheted Dragonfly Lace and Textile Bobbin

We love to make use of herbs in every way possible!Upcycling Vintage Lace is a wonderful way to preserve the talent of the past and dyeing it beautifully in herb dye baths adds another creative unique dimension. Here is a good solid length of boxed lace edging that is 25 inches long and 1 inch wide hand dyed with natural herb dye to a beautiful deep pink. This piece comes wrapped around a vintage textile bobbin for fun!

This piece was throughly laundered in distilled water and soapwort before we hand dyed it in our herb dye baths. The final rinse was in distilled water. This the best way to preserve the work without risking iron spots in the years to come.
