Made in Oregon Ringer T-Shirt, Size Small

Description

This shirt is very special to me. I got the design from a famous Portland landmark, the White Stag sign that hovers near the Burnside Bridge. I love the retro look of it, and the way it sparkles with white and yellow lights on a dark night. I obtained permission to use the image so I could make these awesome shirts and share them with you!

I wanted the shirts to be the color of a rainy day in Portland-- grayish-greenish, nuanced, magical. In order to achieve that, I dye them in small batches with professional quality fiber-reactive dye that will not wash out or fade on you.

For the print, I use pearly white silk-screen ink that has a nice smooth texture. And to top it off, (you can't see this in the photos), I hand apply a subtle dose of silver glitter. It catches the light in just the right way. I am in love with it.

I paint all of my silk screens by hand, and print each shirt individually using a low-tech method that I feel creates the most organic, human touch possible. Slight variations in ink coverage and placement only add to the uniqueness of each shirt.

About the shirts-- I use American Apparel because they are made in the USA, sweatshop-free, and stylishly-cut. This is their 70% cotton, 30% polyester retro-style ringer shirt. Their shirts run a little bit small, so please check the size chart and order a size up if you're in between.
