Description
The Lady of ShalottI have always deeply loved Pre-Raphaelite and Neo-Classical fantasy art. Among one of my favorite artists is John William Waterhouse. His art draws upon mythological and symbolic influences to create tableaus that are interesting and mysterious.
Here, I have created a necklace using a brass inset pendant of his 1888 painting, "The Lady of Shalott." Inspired by its colors, I created a neckpiece of iridescently glimmering crystalline faceted glass and warmly burnished golden freshwater pearls. It is paired with a polished brass figaro chain. This necklace measures 18".
