The mission of Reins of Life, a nonprofit organization, is to improve the quality of life for children and adults with disabilities through equine-assisted therapy. My son Nolan, 7, is diagnosed with a plethora of brain abnormalities (ventriculomegaly, agenisis of the corpus collosum, brain tumor and autism). He started Reins of Life almost 2 years ago and after a few months of riding he was able to swing on a swingset all by himself for the first time! It's a great program! Each bar is 2-3 oz. of glycerin soap with a ducky toy. I tell my children the more they scrub, the faster they'll get to play with the tub toy (it squirts water). Trust me, it's a great motivator!
