I made a set of long dangling earrings the other evening. Most of them hang down to about 2-3 inches (6-7cm), including the ear wires.

When I set about to make these earrings, I was thinking of something simple yet sophisticated. I put together some trinkets in the shape of fans, maple leaves and feathers. They are accented with glass pearls and selections of haematite, red jasper and garnet. The glass pearls are of different shades and hues which compliment the other parts of the earrings nicely.

The end result makes me think that these earrings do look glamorous, so I decided call this series “ The Lady in the Villa”.
