Linocut Linoleum cut Abstract Nude Lavender Map

Description

This is a hand pressed linoleum (suicide) cut of a nude woman sitting with her back facing you "Lavender Map". There are 3 colors light pink, soft lavender, and dark lavender. It comes signed and dated. The size of the image is about 8 by 10 inches. This is a limited edition of 30. There's only 1 left! Each print is slightly different.

Its printed with Daniel Smith Oil Based Ink on Rives Paper Cream so the color of the paper is not as white as the picture shown(100% cotton and acid free).

It will come with a foam board for support and wrapped with plastic.

About Linoleum Relief Printmaking Technique

The relief print is the simplest and most directs of all the printmaking techniques. Relief printing is a subtractive printing process where areas meant not to print are physically removed. Thus resulting in the image areas to be printed to be left behind and created in relief. This is achieved by cutting away the areas of the image, which are not meant to print. The remaining areas that are in relief are the areas that will print. Materials most commonly used for this technique are wood and linoleum; while plaster and clay slabs maybe used as alternative printing substrates.
