Orbis Flower Pendant in Sterling and Rose Gold - Free Shipping

Description

Orbis is Latin for "round" or "circle", which describes this pendant perfectly. I've made this pendant out of many many circles woven together into another circular shape. Each ring was opened, woven, and closed one at a time.

The pendant is reversible. One side shows all sterling silver rings for a classic, goes-with-everything look. The other side has 14 karat rose gold filled rings to offset the sterling, adding dimension and character. I love the warm look of rose gold, and am happy to add it to my jewelry line.

The rings have been woven into a slightly off-round flower shape. The chainmaille weave is intricate and very beautiful. The pendant is approximately 20 mm in diameter, which is about the size of a US nickel/five cent coin.

What does gold filled mean? Gold filled wire is a great, relatively new material. It's a thick layer of 14 karat gold that is filled with a base metal (usually brass). It is much, much thicker than gold plating, and should never wear off with normal use. You can get the look and feel of solid gold without the heavy price tag that it can carry. However if you would like this made with true 14 karat gold, please contact me for a price quote.

All silver components are solid sterling silver (not plated or filled).
