Large Porcelain Vase

Description

This is a wheel thrown piece, high fired in an electric kiln with a copper blue glaze on the interior and a clear glaze on the exterior. It's made out of Southern Ice porcelain, an Australian porcelain known for it's beautiful white color. Each piece is unique, part of the charm of handmade work. This piece is approx 11 inches in height.

This piece is part of a series I've been designing and developing for over 5 years.

Handmade functional ceramics should ideally be hand washed to extend their lives. This piece is food safe (no lead in any of my glazes), microwave safe, but would rather not be placed in an oven.

Note: I thrown my vases a bit heavier so that they can accommodate a tall stemmed flower.
