Polka Dot Bead Crochet

Description

This is a 7” bracelet made from size 8 seed beads in black and white colors. The focal bead is a 9mm polka dot lampwork bead surrounded by silver color bead caps. The lampwork bead was handcrafted by artisan Heather Baumgartner from LeBella Beads. The bracelet is 9mm thick.

This is a soft bangle bracelet made with bead crochet and may have some stretching. Slight stretching is the nature of bead crochet, but because this bracelet was made with strong polyester upholstery thread and reinforced with silamide beading thread, which is a nylon thread, the stretching should be minimal to none compared to bead crochet bracelets made with crochet cotton. Nylon and polyester thread will also last a lot longer than bracelets made of crochet cotton. It will not be necessary to worry about getting this bracelet wet.

Soft bangles roll on to your hand so no clasp is needed. This bracelet will fit a wrist that is 6 ½” around or smaller.

Bead crochet is a very time consuming technique. This bracelet took 4+ hours to make and is one of a kind. Even though my house is not pet-free, my studio where I made all of my jewelry is. My house is also smoke free.
