African Textile

Description

A very vibrant, colorful panel that measures 23 1/4" tall X 18 1/2" wide. I was researching African Textiles and Fabrics which inspired to design this window panel. I wanted to play with the use of "Negative Space" by using totally opaque black glass, offsetting it vibrant oranges, greens, blues, and reds. The effect is stunning. Hooks have been added along with a chain for hanging.

The entire process of designing, cutting glass, copper foiling each piece, soldering the panel, giving it a patina, and polishing it to a high shine is done entirely by me in my home workshop. If you have any questions, please ask away!
