Cool turquoise drapery and warm red lines come together in this gorgeous watercolor drawing of the nude female model.

She tucked herself into the chair, creating a sense of being vulnerable yet having an inner strength. Incredibly feminine.

I started with a wash of light turquoise blue, after quickly sketching in the figure with a light pencil sketch. I layered washes of color and then defined the forms using a red line - a dramatic effect.

11" x 14", watercolor paper mounted to foam core. Ready to frame, painting will ship flat. Signed by me, the artist.
