Hat Making Tool, Replacement Cork Pad, for the Maillard Allie Conformateur Press Door, or the Allie Formillon, 6mm thick Natural Cork from Portugal

Description

This item is the replacement 6mm thick Natural Cork pad used on the vintage head measuring equipment called the Maillard Allie Conformateur.

The same 6mm thick Natural Cork pad can also be used for the underside of the clamping ring of the Maillard Allie Formillon hat shaping tool.

The wood clamping ring shown in the photo is sold as another item here in my Etsy shop, and if you purchase it, will come with the cork pad already glued and cut to shape on the bottom of the wood ring.

I spend quite a bit of my shop time restoring the vintage hat making equipment, and also build quite a few of the new tools that hatters use.
