Emerald green leather mini journal

Description

Mini journal of soft-white paper wrapped in heavily grained emerald green goatskin leather. Sewn with off-white waxed linen thread. A leather flap protects the pages and secured by a leather strap and Japanese carved bone peg.

Each of the six sewn signatures consist of 32 pages and one fold of green and purple free-form marbled paper. The hand-marbled paper dates from the late 1980s but the name of the artist is not known.

An appropriate size for recording Haiku or poems etc to carry in one's pocket or purse or for use as a small landscape sketch book.

The paper is very smooth and takes pencil and pen, equally well, and so could be used for a journal or a sketch book. All the pages are blank.
