Santa Claus Gold Sailboat Victorian Style Christmas Ornament.Santa Claus in a sailboat was a popular theme during Victorian times and throughout the early 1900s.
Polymer clay face with antique cotton beard.Santa's coat is felt with vintage chenille trim.He is a complete figure with legs and feet,not just what is showing from the waist up.His cardboard boat is painted gold and dusted with white glitter.

Dimensions:approx.6-3/4in.wide X 7in.tall.

In constructing my Santas and ornaments I use as much
antique,vintage and distressed materials as possible for an aged look.I want them to appear as if they have survived 100 or more Christmases.Because of this,there will be minor imperfections,all of which are desirable because they add warmth and patina to
the ornament.For example:minor creasing,yellowing of cotton batting and chenille,age darkened or slightly faded crepe paper and scraps,tarnished tinsel,etc.
