THAI SILK garter WEDDING or PROM Butter and Cream

Here is the first in a series of Wedding Garters that I am making from %100 Smooth Thai Silk.

My DAUGHTER-IN-LAW is from Thailand. She and my son and their daughter go back to Thailand at least every other year.

She always brings me back wonderful Thai silk that is made right in her Village of Chaiyaphum in Northern Thailand (Issan). They do all the processes in silk making right down to the weaving of the cloth.

Here I used a beautiful fine Buttery yellow fine silk. I used Ivory satin ribbon for a wonderful Butter and Cream combination.

I fashioned the blossom from the same silk and sewed faux pearls in between the petals.

Simple and elegant. I have at least 9 other colors. I started with this because it seemed so Spring like.

As with all my original handcrafted garters I will sew a Tiny blue bow inside to be your "SOMETHING BLUE"

This garter feels lovely.
