hello, this quilt is constructed entirely of batik fabrics. The houses are all paper pieced and I used bright batiks to accent them. Measures 31 1/2" by 32 1/2 inches. It is machine quilted (in the "ditch" or inside the pieced seams).The binding is finished by hand. The last photo is of the backing. If you would like a sleeve added to the back for hanging, please let me know in the comment section when you check out. I ship free to the US and will split shipping anywhere else. Just convo me so I can get an accurate shipping price.

a little more on the thought and creation process on this quilt;
One day, while driving through a subdivision that cuts between my home and the grocery store, I had a thought/wonderment (which occurs often when I am on "auto-pilot" running errands). All of the houses in the subdivision looked more or less the same...sure they had different plants, and yard decorations, colors...but all looked alike to me while driving by. And then I thought, I wonder what makes each home special to it's owner? The size? Color? The landscaping? no.....i thought not.... and then it came to me in a round about way.....regardless of how similar each home is, it is what dwells within that makes a house a home....and there is no place like it. So the design bounced around my head while I got my groceries. I came home and started sketching a deliberately simple pattern, dug through my fabrics and got to sewing...and here we are. :-)
