Nonsense Built Her Nest . Sparkling Charm Necklace
Description
To outsiders looking in at our lives, trying to observe the meaning of what we hold dear, it is all nonsense to them; and to us at times. This necklace is a collection of lovely little antique and vintage pieces... a rose stem, a white faux pearl with a small fancy skeleton key with a white glass cameo head dangle, a 1940's rhisestone filled charm (the shape of a bottle), and a metal Washington DC transit token which says "D. of C. Transit CAPITAL" on the front and "One Fare Dist. of Col." on the back. This collection hangs from a rhinestone filled cocktail ring. These charms are elegantly displayed on a new groved oval chain. The chain is accented with a rhinestone button.
Approx. Length ~ 19" Long with a 3.5" Charm Drop
All patinas are natural and created over time. Authentic vintage, one-of-a-kind.
Artist Signed and Dated
Inspired by "The Bough of Nonsense" by Robert Graves
"... ”Where once a nonsense built her nest
With skulls and flowers and all things queer,
In an old boot, with patient breast
Hatching three eggs; and the next year…”
S. “Foaled thirteen squamous young beneath, and rid
Wales of drink, melancholy, and psalms, she did.”
