Forget-Me-Not - handspun naturally plant dyed wool yarn

Description

This skein was handspun by me from chemical-free merino cross wool and then dyed in variagated shades of medium blue with bits of paler blue and natural white using natural plant extracts. I make the extracts myself from plants either sustainably collected by me or purchased from suppliers that I trust to grow and collect them in a sustainable manner. I only use alum & natural plant mordants to fix the colors - alum is sold in grocery stores and is used to make pickles. Each of my naturally dyed skeins comes with care & washing instructions.

The wool I used in this yarn came from the DHF farm in the falkland islands. They don't use any herbicides, pesticides, dips, footbaths or regular injections on their sheep, and no bleach or other chemicals in the processing of the wool - so it is, according to them, some of the purest, cleanest wool you will find on the planet. It is also very soft and lofty, as their sheep are a merino crossbreed.

This yarn is about a bulky weight, so I'd recommend around US 9-11 knitting needles for a tightly knit fabric. This skein is plenty of yarn for a small to medium hat, a scarflette/cowl, a pair of short fingerless gloves, or ?
