This beautiful sweetheart fits wonderfully in the palms of your two cupped hands! With her tight, small crochet stitches, she has a nice weight to her that belies her dainty appearance.

Isabelle measures 5.5 inches across at her rim, and about 3 inches tall, her creation involved about 6 hours of painful but loving labor.

Her plump, round body is made from two strands of 26-gauge enameled copper wire in brown and gold, and her lacy lip is a continuance of the brown wire, entwined with 28-gauge green wire, with one row of single crochet stitches topped with a row of double-crochet shell stitches that flares outward like the petals of a delicate flower!

If you squeeze Isabelle, she won't complain -- she giggles and bounces back with a little wriggle and jiggle! Don't let her fool you: she is stronger than she looks! Her texture is lovely to feel, and lovelier to see! She loves to be petted and played with, and would love to show off by holding your favorite candies, jewelry, potpourri, or other items. She would also make great candle holder for a short pillar candle, tealight, or votive -- light the candle, and watch her lacy shadows dance across your walls!
