Cordial - handspun animal-friendly wool novelty yarn - SALE

Description

This skein was spun from fuzzy natural brown shetland wool from a sheep named Vaughn that I overdyed in shades of deep magenta and vermillion. I also added in bits of natural dark brown kid mohair locks, dark grey peace fleece batting, silver-grey sparkle, deep pink and burgundy recycled sari silk threads, shiny pink recycled bamboo fiber, and lots of curly shetland locks trapped and wrapped up in metallic silver thread. Vaughn lives with the other happy sheep at Homestead farm in my home state of WI. Homestead never breeds or eats their sheep, and they take in rescued fiber animals and give them a loving home. This yarn is about a bulky weight - I'd recommend using size 11+ US knitting needles. This is a BIG skein and should be more than enough yarn for a hat, scarflette, long skinny scarf, medium legwarmers, several pairs of fingerless gloves (or one really long pair), or a lacey scarf/wrap.
