Unexpected
Description
I expected this thick rimmed Arbutus (madrone) bowl would crack extensively while it dried. It was destined to be heavily textured around the rim and in the interior. But it did not crack. The colour of the wood, the variations in texture and the tightness of the grain caused me to stop and finish it with a clear natural polish. The results were quite unexpected.Sometimes "unexpected" is good.
