Forest for the Trees

Description

You might have to squint to see the background pattern of trees impressed into the fine silver on this pendant ... or the double layer of silver fused atop it, which has been textured with rocky mountain peaks. I've fashioned a large rollover bail with a matching mountain texture and bezel-set a beautiful rainbow topaz cabochon onto the lower shape to represent a drop of water ... a mountain stream, perhaps. The color of the cab doesn't completely translate in my photos ... it's a luminous aqua color with a hint of purple. Definitely a three-dimensional effect here.

I've added a sturdy oxidized 18" sterling silver Venetian box chain with a sterling lobster claw clasp. The reverse side of this unique pendant contains my hallmark ... my initials, stamped .999.

Frosty cool in appearance, the pendant has been oxidized with hints of blue surrounding the raised sections.

Total length of the pendant is 1-13/16 inches or 45mm long by about 7/8" or 22mm wide.
