Chipster no.2

Description

This is an original artist-pulled intaglio print with aquatint from a copper plate. It is number five of an edition of 100. I printed it on my newly restored etching press. The 2" x 3" print comes matted with a backing ready to fit nicely into a standard 5" x 7" frame.

I'm working on a series of backyard wildlife and this is the second chipmunk I've done. Photographing the chipmunks is amazingly difficult as most of the time they are a blur of motion. Once in a while if I'm very patient and can blend into my surroundings, I'll be able to catch one like this in a contemplative moment. It's a fun challenge to stalk them! I'm amazed at the personality they show when you really pay attention to them.
