Hammered Copper . Labradorite Spear . Earrings
Description
Hand formed loops of copper are adorned at the bottom with a labradorite spear held in place by sterling silver wire.I hammered the copper for textural interest. I then applied a patina and hand polished the copper for a rosy glow. This assemblage is suspended from sterling silver earwires, which have been oxidized and hand sanded.
I love the contrast achieved from the mixed metals. The addition of the labradorite in this particular shape, gives these earrings a tribal look.
Length from the bottom of the earwire is 1 5/8" (3.7 cm).
