Cassette linocut- limited series of 5

Description

This is a 4x5" linoleum block cut print- a limited edition of 5 framed originals. More will be available as cards- in high-quality photocopy. In contrast from the bright color of my other work, I love the stark cleanliness of black on white prints.

This is my first series of linocuts- it's a brand new medium for me. I'm addicted! And yes, I am a cyclist :-) What better inspiration?

Original print in 8x10 inch black frame- the frame is wider than shown here- my scanner isn't that wide- it's about an inch wide all the way around- flat black. Nice and simple. A good gift for a gearhead!

The cassette on the back wheel is the intricate guts of any road or commuter bike- it's what makes the difference whether or not you'll make it up & over the hill. It's amazing what a few teeth on a gear can do! It's the beauty of the bicycle!
