Tree of Strength Glass Pendant - Green on White

Description

When facing times of hardship, we often look to symbols to help us deal with the complexities of the situation, to give us hope, and comfort when we need it most. I've found myself more often than not looking to trees for my strength. If the roots are strong, no wind can topple the tree, no matter how much it bends. The roots also depend on the strength of the soil around them. I made this series of tree pendants as a testament to that affirmation of strength in the most troubling of times.
The tree is drawn by hand directly onto the glass with enamel, then fired to permanently fuse it into the glass. Glass is System 96 glass, with a sterling silver plate bail. Approximately 2" long, including bail.
