Sparkling dichroic glass Rain Crow lampwork bird focal bead

Description

Birds are a favorite subject of mine, which I guess you can tell by the name CrowbirdieBeads. I've been working with dichroic glass lately and because I love crows, ravens and the like I couldn't resist making this "rain crow". He's made using a clear dark gray with tints of blue, purple and green, with a swirling blue/purple dichro glass encased in his body. It catches the light in shifting shades that are near impossible to photograph! I tried though. This little crow was made on a 3/32" mandrel and measures about 1 1/2" from beak to tailtip. He's ready to be made into a pendant, or he can be a great little collectible for the bird collection, since he sits up on his own two birdie feet.

Crowbirdie Beads are carefully kiln-annealed and made from effetre, moretti, lauscha and vetrofond glass. Since they are made from glass they can be broken or chipped if mishandled, so please treat them kindly. Each one is unique, since I make them each by hand in my renovated summer kitchen studio.
