Hand Spun Single Ply Yarn

Here is a hand spun single ply yarn spun by me from hand dyed Falkland wool, dyed by cloudlover69.etsy.com . This is "Juniper", shades of deep spruce, purples, and midnight blue.

This yarn is one of my two EtsyFAST March challenge yarns. This and "Lenore" remind of of a book a friend of mine had in high school - it was a collection of Edgar Allen Poe's poems, illustrated with the most beautiful and vivid art work. Falkland is "in between" for me as far as softness goes - not as soft/squishy as merino but not as rough as domestic or Romney. The Falkland I get from cloudlover is amazing - spins like a dream for a really nice yarn!
