Vintage 1950s Classic Beaded Cardigan Sweater Size Small FREE SHIPPING

*Vintage "robin egg blue" sweater with beaded floral design on yoke and matching blue “pearl” front buttons. My mother wore this sweater in the early 1950’s when she attended The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA. I found it packed away in her sweater drawer on my recent trip to the USA.

ERA: c. early to mid 1950’s

Label: “100% Turbo, Hi Bulk Orlon, Interlock, Luxury of Cashmere”

Size: no sizing label, appears to be a modern "small" size

MEASUREMENTS: approximate, laying flat
Length: 20”
Sleeve: 20”
Shoulder (back seam to seam): 16”
Bust: (under arm pit F to B): 39”

VINTAGE CONDITION: excellent to very good vintage condition with minor wear normal for vintage clothing of this age . No apparent flaws in fabric, no stains and/or tears. Colour of knitwear has very little fading. Beading appears to be intact with a few string ends visible from inside. Some of the faux pearls have normal wear to outer finish so that they appear white/cream. On backside of front panels, interior stitching and bead backing is visible. Note photo that shows the inside of the front panels that are not seen when wearing.
*Sweater has been recently hand washed in soap flakes.
*Most vintage delicate beading should be carefully worn and hand washed to prevent damage.
