This fabulous and versatile purple Carol Cohen raincoat has two deep, angled side pockets perfect for your wallet and phone, and a matching tie-belt to cinch the A-line skirt and give you a lovely hourglass figure. Neat asymmetrical design on chest. Includes brooch. Slit in the back. The cuffs appear to have at some point been secured with a single button on each sleeve, but the buttons are now gone and the original crease is nearly imperceptible thanks to the wrinkle-resistant fabric, so sleeve-length is up to you! Wear the collar like a traditional trench coat or button up for a different look. The fabric isn’t at all glossy like a regular raincoat so it’s chic enough to wear even on chilly, non-rainy days over jeans or a cocktail dress! Shown clipped on a size small model.

A little about the designer...
Carol Cohen was already a successful raincoat designer when she took over as head designer for Sanyo Fashion House in 1989. Her designs grew exponentially in popularity, retailing between $372-800 depending on the style. The NY Times Style section once said this about Ms. Cohen: “Carol Cohen specializes in coats that are as dramatic as they are rainproof. Her first collection for the Sanyo Fashion House...are not for the faint of heart or the meek in style, though they are exceedingly practical.

One line, Sanyo by Carol Cohen, is for the woman who goes to work dressed as a latter-day Mata Hari, the collar of her trench coat turned up, her hands tucked into deep pockets.” And in another article...
