This listing is for one draft snake in the "Lush" color scheme, which is entirely gold woven damask, red Dupioni silk, purple faux silk, and red and white toile.

These draft snakes are guaranteed to keep the temperature in your house more stable in summer or winter, and save you money on your energy bill, especially if you live in an older home with wood-framed windows.

They measure 20 inches long and come with instructions on how to easily shorten them to fit your windows. They are filled with lentils, which overlap like shingles for maximum wind-stoppage, plus a bay leaf for luck and to keep bugs out of your house.

I created these because my windows fit poorly, and after using them I was astonished at how much nicer the climate in the house was and how much the street noise level was reduced.

They also make a fantastic gift for new parents, as babies are very susceptible to getting a chill, even on summer evenings.

Since these are made from scraps of fabric left over from all my sewing projects, the snakes you receive may not look exactly like the ones pictured. But rest assured they are all super-cute and will include all kinds of vintage, designer, and Japanese fabrics.
