The two silver roses in this necklace reminded us of blooms and the rich browns of the Tiger's eye stone made us think of the desert - so Dawn and I choose the name Desert Bloom for this one-of-a-kind necklace from Betty.

Tiger's eye is a natural quartz stone with fabulous light reflecting properties that amplify its caramel tones. The natural striping (layers of minerals) reminded people of a glowing tiger's eye, hence the name.

The variable length focal bead set is cut into a fan or shield shape, appropriate because legend has it that Tiger's Eye provides protection to the wearer.

To contrast the bold Tiger's eye, Betty used puka shell beads and an assortment of twisted, tube, oval and round silver-plated beads.

This finely crafted necklace measures 18-inches and is secured with a barrel (easy to twist on and off) clasp.
