Please Don't Feed Me 2 - Conceptual Digital Photography by Tiffany Gholar
Description
Maybe I am a little biased, but I don't think it's fair to blame it all on Barbie. I feel ambivalent when I hear women blame their low self esteem and poor body image on growing up with Barbie dolls. I don't know if Barbie is entirely to blame. What about fashion magazines and diet ads? What about the ideas and expectations girls learn from their peers and their mothers? What about the culture of self-objectification? The negative messages girls receive these days come in a variety of guises and packages. But I chose dolls to illustrate these messages because they can not only depict them, but embody them.Your signed high resolution 8"x10" photo will be shipped to you in a clean, minimalist acrylic box frame, ready to hang on a wall or sit on your desk.
