how could i forget

Description

This drawing was part of a daily-practice-based mapping project I worked on during the fall of 2007. At the time, I was fascinated by the work of On Kawara, phenomenology and documenting through various means, proof of my own existence.

It is a rough map, tracking my movement through time and space in the period of one day, from the moment of waking to that of slumber.

The drawing was composed using elements of mixed media, containing textures created through various stages of silkscreen monotyping, watercolor and hand drawing using graphite and colored pencils.

Vellum measuring eleven inches by seventeen inches.
