Earth Laughs in Flowers - Tea Buddy

Description

A little dish with an important purpose, to hold that little bag that makes for such good tea.

This design is called "Earth Laughs in Flowers." If pottery could bloom, this is what it would look like.

The dish was built by hand using a creamy claybody. When dry the design was hand drawn and painted in cobalt blue and chocolate brown. The piece was coated in a clear glaze (less the bottom) and fired to give it a shiny smooth finish.

Food safe, dishwasher friendly and microwavable.

Great for your tea bag and spoon, your spare change, keys, or other little ditties.

Roughly 3.5" square.

Handmade pottery goes through many stages from start to finish. It is a labor-intensive process that results in a unique end piece. Each pot holds in it the mark of the maker giving the user a connection to the process. This is why I love making, and I believe this is why people love using my pottery. Enjoy!
