8 large pure cotton, hand dyed, hand woven place mats. 100% natural fibre
Indigo blues, and earthy terracotta and tan.
These subtle and subdued table mats have been hand dyed and hand woven from a 2/12s mercerized cotton warp, and a weft of hand dyed mop cotton. They are very large, measuring aprox. 19.5" x 13", perfect for covering up an old table or protecting a precious wood surface - The thick mop cotton weft gives good heat insulation against hot dinner or serving plates.
They are fully reversible, and the colour scheme means that they will co-ordinate with a wide variety of table wear, tables and dinning colour schemes. Or adding a rich touch to a dinner party.
Two place mats are slightly larger than the others, this is not noticable when the mats are on a table, however for this reason I am including the small pot holder which co-ordinates with the mats for no extra cost.
As these have been hand dyed I would recommend hand washing, for at least the first 3 - 4 washes. Wash in cold / hand-cool water (max 30º) with a mild detergent. Conditioner can be used. Ring out, shape and air dry. (Do not tumble dry). Can be ironed whilst damp.
After the first 3-4 washes they can be machine washed with similar colours on a cold setting, using your usual detergent.
Do not soak, do not bleach.

My earthenware and crokery are not included - But I promise you that these place mats alone will bring your table to life!
