Description

Dr. Blume's curiosity without a doubt was the result of an eccentric father, the first Dr. Blume. The man was a genius that designed a lab in his own home, which is the very place Dr. Blume II himself lives and works. Imagination and physics bubbling over with excitement, wins and failures. He believed only in science, and although he respected the mythology of the people he met all over the world on his travels, only proof comforted him. And one day, after months and years building a secret machine, he disappeared. He lives now, through exactly what he left behind, science.

A gorgeous antique brass chain anchors some fantastic curio in this piece.
A piece of mink jawbone, a vintage optical tester lens, with antique photo of an older gentleman and a vintage clock key hang from this gorgeous and sturdy chain. There is adhesive covering the back of the lens where the photo is pleased to keep is resistant as much as possible. Again I have used a contemporary pocket watch clip clasp as the closure. I have pictured it here being worn at the side, but it can be worn any way you prefer.
Approx. 18" around the neck.

*The Curious Cabinet of Dr. Blume* a new collection geared towards men, but truly unisex. This collection was in my head for sometime, but the light went off after seeing a band called Outernational perform here on the Lower East Side. There is a fantastic musician called Dr. Blume, he wears a top hat, a bolo, a three piece suit and plays an array of instruments including the accordion!! This collection keeps him, a curious cabinet and a time traveler in its pocket. Thanks Dr. Blume!
