Porcelain Pendant with Glass - Turquoise and Red Coral
Description
This pendant has been hand formed and sculpted. It has a matrix of craters and pits the body of the pendant has been left unglazed. The craters have been filled with turquoise glass and a bright red bead has been fused into each hole. A ring of platinum lustre highlights the larger craters. The piece has been finished with glass beads and a sterling silver bead.This piece is highly textured and sculptural and measures 1 5/8 inches/4 cm long with a depth of 3/8 inches/1cm. It is unglazed and initialed on the back.
This pendant will be supplied with a short (16inch) turquoise cord with a silver coloured barrel clasp. If you would like a longer cord, or in a different colour (in stock currently-white, brown, blue-black, pale pink, bright pink) please send me a message when you order. The end caps on the cord are sterling silver, but the barrel clasp is only plated. I like these clasps as they feel secure and are easy to fasten, but if you would like me to exchange it for a sterling silver carabiner clasp, I can do so for an additional fee of $2.50
This pendant will delivered in a small black gift box.
Totally unique and original, these pieces are based on my ceramic sculptures. I have been developing this technique for the past five years influenced by coral, geology and the inherent qualities of the clay itself.
