Steampunk Leather Journal - black hardcover

Description

Handbound leather journal, hardcover, steampunk style. All of my steampunk journals are entirely one of a kind as the various embellishments are literally found objects. This particular book incorporates a lens piece from a very old pair of binoculars, some perferated metal strips, a vintage photo, and a mini skeleton key attatched to a bookmark. The lens is permanently inset into the cover and the mustachioed man is trapped inside.

This blank journal is handbound. The pages are stitched onto tapes, then case bound in full leather. The endpapers are a dark black and green pattern, hand-marbled by me. There are decorative X stitches along the spine.

This journal is 5" x 4.25" and 1" thick (or 13cm X 11cm x 2.5cm).
Paper is standard weight writing paper, slightly off-white with a little speckle in it. The edges of the pages are stained black. There are 200 pages (when you count both sides of each sheet).
