A Simple Seashell

Description

Rendered as simply in .999 pure, fine silver as nature itself, this solid silver seashell is one of my favorites ... a horse conch.

I admit to being partial to univalves, but the horse conch stands above the others to me because of its seductive swirls and soft edges. In reality, a horse conch looks almost edible because of its shape and color. Many horse conches are the warm color of French vanilla ice cream swirled into gentle peaks (yummy).

I created this silver horse conch with a hidden loop bail in the back and suspended it from a 16-inch sterling silver choker-style cable chain. My hallmark -- my initials, stamped .999 -- has been fused to the reverse side.

The conch shell measures nearly 1-7/8 inches long by about 3/4" wide. Please see the photos of the pendant against my hand for size reference.
