1920s vintage dress pattern - McCall 5027
Description
...The annual Varsity solo punt races, Oxford. There are those who cannot believe languid Lydia Smyth is the bookies' favourite at 3-1."A girl, Professor Cratch? Outrageous!"
"Would never have happened in our day, Colonel."
Of course by the time the cheering riverside spectators watch her overtake Tommy "Speedster" Tucker on the final stretch, even the Colonel is won over. Could it be her deft, assured plying of her vessel? Her graceful, skilled technique? More likely the winsome picture she makes in her fresh-as-a-daisy summer frock, as she raises the massive silver trophy to the roaring crowd....
Gorgeous vintage 20s sewing pattern from McCalls. This little insouciant dress has a gathered and shirred skirt front, belt and choice of two sleeves- both long, one gathered, one straight. The neckline can be either square or V tied with a bow.
Size: 34" bust, 37" hip.
Condition: All pieces are present and correct and uncut. Instructions are actually printed on the pattern pieces themselves. Envelope is in reasonable condition with a small tear in the back, and could use handling with care due to its advanced age.
