Killer Whale SHAMU Fused Glass Windchime

Description

I made this killer whale/SHAMU windchime by handcutting stained glass in blues, black, and white and then fusing them together in my kiln to create an abstract looking Killer Whale complete with a dichroic glass eye. I used a beautiful swirly blue, purple, white glass for the waves.

There are 8 separate fused glass strips that form the chimes. They were drilled by me, wire was attached and strung from a wooden dowell to hang the piece.

This piece measures approximately 11" X 6" and beatifully chimes in the wind.

These pieces work well indoors or outdoors and will be instant conversation starters. If hung outdoors, please hang in a semi-sheltered area and be cautious of high winds! We like to hang them from enclosed patios, the bottom of ceiling fans, in a bay window, or install a hook in the ceiling and place a floor lamp beneath the piece to light it.
