This organic herbal blend gives you the energy boost and mental clarity of Yerba Mate combined with the smooth, sweet flavor and health benefits of South African Red Bush (Rooibos).

Rooibos (pronounced roy-boss) is a native South African bush that has many nutritive properties, most notably a high antioxidant content. Rooibos is the perfect addition to your tea collection, because it contains antioxidant compounds not found in the traditional tea plant (Camellia sinensis), from which all white, green, oolong and black teas are made. Antioxidants are vital for the removal of free-radicals which accelerate the aging process.

Yerba Mate has been for centuries the most popular, and even sacred, drink in South America. It is made from the leaves and stems of a tree native to the Amazonian rainforests. It is drunk all possible ways: sweetened and unsweetened, hot and iced, flavored and plain, roasted, smoked, fermented, and fresh off the tree.

Yerba Mate contains an abundance of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants. The Pasteur Institute and the Paris Scientific society in 1964 concluded "it is difficult to find a plant in any area of the world equal to mate in nutritional value" and that yerba mate contains "practically all of the vitamins necessary to sustain life."
