This version is 1.5" wide, and can be made in any size from extra-small (Italian Greyhound) to extra-large. Please be sure to include your dog's primary breed and neck measurement in the notes at checkout. If you are looking for a different width and/or size of collar, send us a message - we can make a collar in any width from 1/2" for tiny dogs and cats to 2" for large dogs. We specialize in custom orders and can help determine the width that's best for your dog.

Matching leashes are also available in any length/width combination and can be made with snap hooks in a range of sizes from extra heavy-duty for large dogs to tiny and lightweight for small dogs. Please contact us if you interested in a leash and we'll set up a custom listing for you.

The products in our elegant "Haute Couture" line are triple-stitched and made of two layers of garment-quality silk brocade backed with two layers of soft, heavy-duty cotton denim. They are hand-washable using mild detergent (we've found that a castile soap such as Dr. Bronner's produces the best results), although we officially recommend that all of our silk products be dry-cleaned for best results and longest life.

We carefully sew each collar to make sure they are strong and safe, and use only quality metal hardware. When we use plastic buckles, we make sure they are industry standard and extremely strong. However, just as you probably wouldn't wear a handsome tailored blazer or a designer dress to play ultimate frisbee, we discourage our silk collars at the dog park or the beach - after all, these are formal-wear!

About Martingales:
Martingale dog collars are made using two loops, to give a humane "squeeze" when the dog pulls on the leash. It prevents the dog from slipping backwards out of the collar.

This is a must for breeds like greyhounds and whippets, whose heads are smaller than their necks. They also work very well for any dog who is working on becoming an escape artist! Our shiba inu has worn one all of his life and we swear by it.

Please remember that we keep very few collars and leashes in stock and most of our products are made to order. Because we custom-make each individual order, it may take up to 7 business days before shipping.
