Mini tile pendant, Floral in Honeycomb

Description

Pendant size: 1” h x 1 1/4”w and 1/8” thick (3 mm)

A wearable miniature art tile in a warm, satiny glaze color I call Honeycomb.

The pendant presented here is unique in shape, ornamentation and style. I hand cut each one from a hand-rolled porcelain slab; individually apply the surface decoration (like cake decorating for clay) of raised swirls, leaves and floral shapes; and glaze each with colors I developed. Some are also stamped to add another subtle layer of pattern.

Because of the handmade process and 18 different glazes I use, each pendant is truly one-of-a-kind. The back is unglazed, hand-stamped with my signature, “Kieffer,” and after both kiln-firings, sanded smooth for softness.

This necklace and pendant are lightweight, very comfortable and elegant on all body types. Suitable for men and women.

Glazed porcelain can be fragile, but actually very durable. This porcelain pendant is fired to 2195 degrees and intended for decades of wear.
