Stained Glass Fabric Bowl

Stained glass and fabric? Ok, it's not REAL stained glass. :) When I came up with this design, I was going for a "stained glass" look.

I really love the colors on this one. After finishing with the structure of the bowl, it was time for my favorite part...embellishing!

For the embellishment, I used black embroidery floss for the "leading" between the colors. It gives some nice dimension. After that, I painted using a 3 color combo of a mustard yellow, sky blue and moss green in all of the empty spaces. I also painted the inside of the bowl black, to really give some nice contrast.

After all of that was done, I gave it a coat of sealer and voila! A lovely vibrant fabric bowl that anyone would be happy to have in their home!

Even though these bowls are not food safe, you could certainly use it as a candy dish as long as the candy is wrapped. Or put any number of things in it!
