The most unusual decanter label I've ever come across forms the centerpiece of this dramatic statement necklace.

Dating from the Victorian era, the sterling silver label has developed a rich, darkened patina over the years adding to its vintage allure.

Measuring 3.75" wide and .6" high, the decanter label is set in the middle of a unique chain crafted from a sterling silver watch fob chain and clear crystal rosary beads on one side and a sterling silver floral link (a nod to Benedictine's herbal origins), peach rosary glass beads and brass chain on the other

**Bénédictine is a French herbal liqueur beverage made from 27 plants and spices.

Developed by a monk in 1510, at the Benedictine Abbey of Fécamp in Normandy, the liqeur was produced at the Abbey until the recipe was lost during the abbey's devastation at the time of the French Revolution. In 1863, Alexandre le Grand, re-discovered the recipe, and began production under the trade name "Bénédictine"

The recipe is a closely guarded trade secret, ostensibly known to only three people at any given time. So many people have tried (and failed) to reproduce it that the company maintains on its grounds in Fécamp a "Hall of Counterfeits" (Salon de Contrefaçons) displaying bottles of the failed attempts.
