Merino and Silk 2 ply Lace Weight Handspun Yarn 80g/400m

Description

This is a truly stunning hand spun and plied yarn - 1 ply of pure Merino wool together with 1 ply pure mulberry silk.

I chose to spin the silk from mawata squares for extra character due to the natural inconsistencies and nepps in the squares.
The merino fibre was kettle dyed to achieve the beautiful shade of Wedgewood blue before spinning.

This would make a truly sumptuous lace item such as shawl or cowl.
