Pack of organic detroit dark red beet seeds, collected from 2008 growing season. This heirloom variety stores very well and produces edible leaves; wonderful in salads or as sauted greens.Pack comes with 25 seeds.

Soil Temp for Germination: 50-85 degrees
Days to Germination: 5-10
Thin to: 2-4 inches apart
Days to Maturity: 59-70
Remember during germination, keep the entire area evenly moist until the second set of leaves develop, then allow soil surface to dry between waterings.
