Seaside Sunflower Bracelet

Description

This 7 1/2 inch bracelet combines two stunning elements to make a really special bracelet. It blends a unique handcrafted clasp with blue crazy lace agate. The clasp is handcrafted in wax and cast in the Japanese metal alloy Shibuichi. It is patinated by hand to achieve this wonderful satin like finish. Shibuichi is an alloy of silver (25%) and copper. Handcrafted here in the U.S.A. by Green Girl Studios. It makes use of a clever hook and eye clasp. This clasp shows incredible detail and showcases the Green Girl Studios artist's talent. The sunflower has the eye on one of it's petal and the leaf has the hook in place of it's stem. The clasp is a very much a major part of this bracelet since it is 44 mm in length; it definitely stands out in the design of the bracelet.

The blue crazy length agate is a turquoise blue in color with swirls of peach, pink, tan, and cream. These natural gemstones are contrasts in size and shape. The bracelet has tiny round pieces separating the large rectangular pieces.

In ancient times, agate was worn to placate the gods, and to give courage. Agate is thought to sharpen your sight, help the eyes, illuminate your mind, allow you to be more eloquent and give vitality. It keeps the wearer well-balance. I know that I find this turquoise blue color of the Caribbean very calming and it gives me vitality. Sunglasses and reading glasses are the only things that help my eyesight now!
